【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군은 18일 군청 대회의실에서 민주평화통일자문회의 증평군협의회(회장 김도중, 이하 협의회) 2026년 1분기 정기회의가 개최됐다고 밝혔다.
이날 회의는 개회사를 시작으로 ‘한반도 평화공존을 위한 대내외 정책 추진방향’에 대한 의견 수렴과 2026년 주요 사업계획 논의 순으로 진행됐다.
김도중 협의회장은 개회사에서 “분단의 역사가 길어질수록 평화와 공존에 대한 우리의 의지는 더욱 중요해지고 있다”며 “한반도의 지속 가능한 평화는 단순한 갈등의 부재를 넘어, 상호 신뢰와 협력 속에서 함께 미래를 만들어가는 과정”이라고 강조했다.
이어진 의견 수렴에서는 최근 정책 환경 변화를 계기로 한반도와 동북아 정세 안정, 남북관계 전환 가능성, 평화통일 여건 조성을 위한 정책 방향 등에 대해 자문위원들의 다양한 제언이 이어졌다.
특히 변화하는 대내외 환경 속에서 실효성 있는 평화공존 전략이 필요하다는 데 공감대가 형성됐다.
협의회 대행기관장인 이재영 군수는 “올해 협의회 주요 사업을 통해 지역사회에서 평화통일에 대한 공감대가 확산되고, 건강한 소통의 기반이 더욱 강화되기를 바란다”고 말했다.
한편, 협의회는 올해‘통일안보 강연회’,‘평화통일염원 걷기대회’,‘청소년 안보 견학’ 등 자체사업을 추진해 국민 통일의견 수렴과 평화문화 확산, 통일미래세대 육성 등에 적극 나설 계획이다.
