(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 관세청 인천공항세관이 19일, 인천국제공항 제1여객터미널에서 전국 특송·우편세관 협의체 발대식 및 제1차 회의를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
인천공항세관에 따르면, 협의체는 특송과 국제우편을 통한 불법물품 반입 시도가 지속적으로 증가함에 따라, 세관 간 협력체계와 단속 역량을 강화하기 위해 출범했으며 전국 특송·우편통관 업무를 담당하는 6개 세관과 관계부서가 참여한다.
이날 회의에서는 마약류, K-브랜드 위조상품 등 불법물품 밀수에 대한 공동대응과 효율적 협조방안을 논의했다.
특히, 특송화물과 국제우편화물은 전국 세관을 통해 반입되는 만큼 세관 간 우범정보 공유의 필요성에 공감하고 적발사례의 신속한 전파와 단속 노하우 공동활용 방안 등에 중점적으로 의견을 교환했다.
회의 이후 참석자들은 인천공항 물류단지에 위치한 CJ대한통운 인천공항특송센터를 방문하여 자체시설 특송업체의 특송화물 통관 현장을 둘러 보았다.
이날 협의회를 주관한 박헌 인천공항본부세관장은, “특송화물과 국제우편을 통해 반입되는 불법물품을 차단하는데 단일 세관만으로는 한계가 있다”며, “앞으로 전국 세관이 긴밀한 협력체계를 구축하여 국민의 안전을 위협하고 권리를 침해하는 불법행위를 철저히 차단해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
