교육청은 19일 대구교육연수원 대강당에서 어린이집 원장 500여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘2026 유보통합 실행기반 강화 사업 설명회’를 열고, 놀이와 주도적 배움에 초점을 맞춘 교육·보육 운영 방향을 제시했다.
이번 설명회는 영유아가 자율적으로 참여하는 교육·보육 과정을 현장에 뿌리내릴 수 있도록 지원하는 데 목적이 있다. 아울러 유치원과 초등학교 단계까지 연계성을 강화해 전반적인 보육 및 교육의 질을 높이겠다는 것이 교육청의 구상이다.
설명회에서는 누리과정과 연계한 가족공동체 형성, 어린이집 전문학습공동체 운영, 어린이집과 초등학교의 연계 교육, 독서교육 강화, 다문화 교육 선도기관 지정 등 다양한 사업도 함께 소개됐다. 현장에서는 구체적인 실행 방식과 지원 체계에 대한 관심이 높았던 것으로 전해졌다.
한 어린이집 원장은 “사업 방향을 직접 들을 수 있어 현장에 적용하는 데 많은 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.
강은희 교육감은 “이번 설명회가 어린이집의 교육 방향을 구체화하는 계기가 되길 바란다”며 “영유아가 어디서나 양질의 교육과 보육을 받을 수 있도록 계속해서 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
