【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군립도서관이 책 읽는 문화 확산을 위해 ‘김득신 독서마라톤’ 대회를 이달부터 10월까지 운영한다고 19일 밝혔다.
이번 대회는 지역 대표 인물인 조선시대 독서가 김득신의 학문 정신을 계승하고 일상 속 독서 문화를 확산하기 위해 마련됐다.
독서와 마라톤을 접목한 프로그램으로, 마라톤 풀코스인 42.195㎞를 독서량으로 환산해 진행하는 것이 특징이다.
대회는 책 1쪽을 2m로 계산하는 방식으로 운영된다.
참가자는 읽은 책의 분량을 독서노트나 SNS 등을 통해 인증하며 구간별 목표 달성을 통해 완주를 목표로 한다.
마라톤 코스는 참여 연령과 독서량에 따라 5단계로 구성됐다.
유아를 위한 ‘거북이 코스’(3㎞)와 유아부터 초등학생까지 참여할 수 있는 ‘토끼 코스’(5㎞), 성인도 참여 가능한 ‘타조 코스’(10㎞), ‘치타 코스’(21㎞), 그리고 풀코스인 ‘김득신 코스’(42.195㎞)로 나뉜다.
대상 도서는 증평군립도서관을 비롯해 창의파크작은도서관, 어울림작은도서관, 스마트도서관에 소장된 도서다.
참가자는 도서관에서 책을 대출해 읽은 뒤 독서 기록을 제출해 마라톤 실적으로 인정받을 수 있다.
대회를 완주한 참가자에게는 완주 메달이 수여되며, 다음 해 도서 대출 권수 확대 혜택도 제공된다.
