이날 기탁식에는 이해숙 회장을 비롯해 정장훈 부회장, 김민곤 사무국장 등 협의회 관계자들이 참석해 장학금 전달과 함께 지역 인재 양성을 위한 뜻을 나눴다.
보은군주민자치위원협의회는 각 읍·면 주민자치위원회로 구성된 단체로 약 260여 명의 회원이 활동하고 있으며, 지역사회 발전과 주민자치 활성화를 위해 다양한 활동을 이어오고 있다.
이해숙 회장은 “지역 학생들이 꿈을 키워가는 데 작은 보탬이 되길 바라는 마음으로 회원들과 뜻을 모았다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께하는 나눔 활동을 지속해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
최재형 이사장(보은군수)은 “지역 발전의 밑거름이 될 인재 양성을 위해 꾸준히 관심과 지원을 보내주신 데 깊이 감사드린다”며 “기탁해 주신 장학금이 학생들의 성장과 미래를 위한 소중한 밑거름이 되도록 소중히 활용하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 협의회는 2022년부터 매년 장학금 기탁을 이어오며 지역 인재 육성을 위한 나눔을 실천하고 있다.
