이번 사업은 기존 작물 편중 구조를 개선하고, 지역 여건에 맞는 특이 품종과 신소득 작물을 발굴·육성해 지속 가능한 고부가가치 농업 기반을 마련하기 위해 추진된다.
사업 기간은 2026년 3월부터 12월까지이다.
지원 대상은 충주시에 주소와 사업장을 두고 실제 영농에 종사하며 농업경영체 등록을 완료한 농업인, 농업인 단체, 농업법인으로, 시는 10개소 내외를 선정해 지원할 계획이다.
지원 내용은 신소득 작물 재배를 위한 종묘 구입과 재배시설, 생산 기반 시설로, 개별 농가는 최대 4천만 원, 농업인 단체 및 농업법인은 최대 7천만 원 범위 내에서 지원된다.
다만 기존 보편화 품목, 타 사업 중복 지원 품목, 소모성 영농자재, 단순 농기계 구입 등은 지원 대상에서 제외된다.
사업 신청은 3월 25일까지 사업 예정 농지 소재지 읍·면·동 행정복지센터에서 접수하며, 신청서와 사업계획서, 농업경영체 등록확인서 등 관련 서류를 제출해야 한다.
