한편 진천읍 새마을회는 매년 상·하반기 두 차례에 걸쳐 영농폐기물 수거 활동을 지속적으로 추진하고 있으며, 버스정류장 정화, 헌옷 수거 캠페인 등 다양한 환경보호 활동을 이어가고 있다.
