대전시교육청이 23일부터 27일까지 5일간 신규 학생상담자원봉사자를 대상으로 ‘2026년 학생상담자원봉사자 기초교육’을 실시한다.
이번 교육은 대전교육청 회의실에서 진행되며, 봉사자들이 학교 현장에서 바로 상담 활동을 펼칠 수 있도록 실무 위주의 집중 과정으로 꾸려졌다.
학생상담자원봉사자는 1987년 시작되어 지난 40여 년간 학교폭력 예방과 정서적 어려움을 겪는 학생들을 지원하며 대전교육의 중요한 든든한 파수꾼 역할을 해오고 있다.
이번 교육에는 총 20시간 과정이 포함되며, 학교폭력 관련 제도 이해, 미술치료를 활용한 집단상담, 핵심 감정을 중심으로 한 실전 상담, 영화 매개 치료인 시네마 힐링 등 현장에 필요한 다양한 프로그램이 포함돼 있다.
교육 마지막 날에는 수료한 봉사자에게 위촉장이 수여되며, 이들은 기존 봉사단과 함께 대전 지역 학교 학생들의 심리적 안정과 건강한 학교생활 지원에 나설 예정이다.
설동호 대전교육감은 “학생들이 학업이나 친구 관계 등에서 겪는 마음의 어려움에 봉사자들의 따뜻한 손길이 위로와 변화를 가져올 것”이라며 “봉사자 모두가 상담자로서 자부심을 가지고 우리 아이들의 건강한 성장을 위해 힘써주길 바란다”고 전했다.
