파주소방서는 지난 23일 밤 파주시 문산읍의 한 단독주택에서 발생한 화재 현장에서 고립된 주민 1명을 신속히 구조하고 화재를 완전히 진압했다고 밝혔다.
소방당국에 따르면 23일 오후 9시 17분경, 파주시 문산읍 통일로 소재의 단독주택에서 불이 났다.

당시 침실에 있던 거주자 심 모 씨는 거실에서 발생하는 소음을 듣고 밖을 확인했다가 불꽃과 연기를 목격했다.
심 씨는 즉시 119에 신고했으나, 불길로 인해 출구가 막히자 침실 옆 화장실로 대피해 구조를 기다렸다.
신고 접수 7분 만에 현장에 도착한 통일119안전센터 대원들은 지붕 위로 화염이 치솟는 상황에서 화장실 방향의 구조 요청 소리를 포착했다.
대원들은 즉각 화장실 창문을 개방해 심 씨를 구조한 뒤 구급대에 인계했으며, 동시에 수관을 전개해 화재 진압 및 내부 인명 검색을 실시했다.
이날 화재는 신고 접수 24분 만인 오후 9시 41분에 완전히 꺼졌다.
구조된 심 씨는 연기 흡입으로 인한 경상을 입고 병원으로 이송되었으나 생명에는 지장이 없는 상태다.
이번 화재 진압을 위해 인력 47명(소방 39, 경찰 6, 한전 2)과 장비 19대가 동원됐다.
