브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= KB국민은행은 신생기업의 안정적인 성장을 지원하는 스타트업 육성 프로그램 ‘KB유니콘클럽’ 6기에 참여할 기업을 모집한다고 25일 밝혔다.
2021년 출범해 올해로 6년차를 맞이한 ‘KB유니콘클럽’은 국내 스타트업 활성화와 신생기업과의 동반성장을 위해 신산업 분야의 유망 스타트업을 발굴, 유니콘 기업으로 도약할 수 있도록 돕는 전문 엑셀러레이팅 프로그램이다.
지금까지 총 56개의 스타트업이 프로그램에 참여했으며, 참여 기업들은 △우수디자인 어워드 △CES 혁신상 △에디슨어워드 등 국내외 주요 시상식에서 수상한 바 있다.
이번 6기 모집의 핵심 키워드는 ‘청년’이다. 모집 대상은 만 19세부터 39세 이하의 예비 창업자부터 창업 3년 이하인 초기 스타트업으로, △신산업 분야 진출 △혁신 기술 보유 △글로벌 확장 가능성 등 성장 잠재력을 갖춘 기업이면 누구나 지원할 수 있다.
‘KB유니콘클럽’에 선정된 10개 기업에게는 △경기창조경제혁신센터 투자 검토 △워킹스페이스 입주 기회 △스타트업-투자자 간 네트워킹 △글로벌 진출 지원 △전문가 심화 멘토링 등 스타트업 기업에게 필요한 성장 단계별 맞춤형 프로그램이 제공된다.
모집 기간은 오는 4월 15일까지이며, 참가 신청은 경기창조경제혁신센터 홈페이지를 통해 가능하다.
KB국민은행 관계자는 “창의적인 아이디어와 열정을 가진 청년 창업가들의 많은 관심과 참여를 부탁드린다”며 “앞으로도 혁신 기술을 보유한 청년 스타트업 지원을 확대해 대한민국 산업 경쟁력 강화에 기여하겠다”고 말했다.
