【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주시는 산림사업 현장의 안전사고를 예방하고 재난 대응 역량을 강화하기 위해 산림과 소속 기간제 근로자를 대상으로 산업안전보건교육을 실시했다고 25일 밝혔다.
이번 교육은 중대재해처벌법 시행에 따라 근로자의 안전수칙 준수와 사전 위험요인 제거를 통한 중대재해 예방에 초점을 맞췄다.
산불 진화, 숲가꾸기, 등산로 정비, 산림병해충 방제 등 다양한 작업 분야 근로자 80명이 참여해 안전의식 제고와 응급상황 대응 능력 향상을 위한 실무 중심 교육을 받았다.
교육은 △산업안전보건 기본교육 △작업 안전 및 환경 관리 △근로자 안전교육 △심폐소생술(CPR) 실습으로 구성됐다.
특히 사고 발생 시 중상이 우려되는 급경사지 작업, 벌목, 예초 등 현장 특성을 반영해 개인보호구 착용, 안전점검, 안전장비 사용, 응급상황 대응 방법 등을 중점적으로 다뤘다.
시는 작업 전 위험성 평가, 보호구 착용 생활화, 정기 안전교육을 통해 중대재해 발생 제로화를 목표로 안전관리 체계를 강화할 계획이다.
신정순 푸른도시국장은 “산림 현장은 안전사고 위험이 높고 재해 발생 시 중대한 부상으로 이어질 가능성이 크다”며 “중대재해 예방을 최우선으로 지속적인 안전교육을 실시하겠다”고 말했다.
