일산동부경찰서가 본격적인 봄철을 맞아 이륜차와 개인형 이동장치 등 두바퀴차의 위험 위반행위 근절을 위한 교통안전 활동에 나섰다.

경찰서는 23일 일산동구 웨스턴돔 인근 도로 일대에서 한국교통안전공단과 합동으로 두바퀴차 반칙운전 단속 및 교통법규 준수 캠페인을 실시했다.
이번 활동은 고위험·고비난 위반행위로 인한 교통사고를 예방하고 안전한 교통문화를 정착시키기 위해 마련된 것으로, 단속과 함께 이용자들에게 안전운전 유의사항을 직접 안내하는 방식으로 진행됐다.
일산동부 관내 두바퀴차 사고는 전반적으로 감소하는 추세를 보이고 있으나, 최근 3년간의 통계를 살펴보면 봄철에 교통사고와 사망사고가 집중되는 경향이 뚜렷하게 나타나고 있어 이 시기를 겨냥한 선제적 대응이 요구되어 왔으며 이에 경찰은 유관기관과 손을 잡고 도로 위 반칙운전 근절 계획에 따른 합동 캠페인을 병행하며 현장 안전활동의 밀도를 높였다.
이날 합동단속에서는 불법튜닝 1건, 번호판 부착 불량 등 자동차관리법 안전기준 위반 10건, 도로교통법 위반 통고처분 1건 등 모두 12건의 위반 사항이 적발됐다.
