【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주시는 봄을 맞아 동절기 휴장을 마친 호암지 음악분수를 오는 3월 31일부터 본격 운영한다고 27일 밝혔다.
호암지 음악분수는 총 길이 120m 규모로, 659개의 노즐과 356개의 LED, 86개의 에어슈터가 만들어내는 역동적인 물줄기와 화려한 빛의 향연이 특징이다.
여기에 레이저와 고음질 음향, 영상 연출이 더해져 음악·조명·영상이 어우러진 환상적인 야간 공연을 선사한다.
올해 음악분수는 11월 8일까지 운영되며, 일몰 시간에 따라 운영 시간을 탄력적으로 조정한다.
운영 횟수도 전년보다 확대돼 평일(화~금) 4회, 주말(토·일) 5회로 늘어나 보다 많은 시민과 관광객이 공연을 즐길 수 있다.
공연은 클래식과 영화음악, K-POP 등 다양한 장르의 음악에 맞춰 약 20분간 펼쳐지며, 주말 야간에는 영상이 결합된 ‘스페셜 워터쇼’가 더해져 한층 화려한 볼거리를 제공한다.
특히, 지난 3월 실시된 설문조사를 통해 선정된 인기곡이 신규 연출곡으로 반영돼 관람객의 만족도를 높일 것으로 기대된다.
시는 앞으로 시민이 직접 참여하는 음악분수 프로그램을 확대해 호암지를 체험형 문화공간으로 발전시켜 나갈 계획이다.
매주 월요일은 시설 점검을 위해 운영하지 않는다.
시 관계자는 “호암지 음악분수가 도심 속에서 낭만과 여유를 즐길 수 있는 대표 야경 명소로 자리매김하길 기대한다”며 “시민과 관광객 모두에게 특별한 추억을 선사할 것”이라고 말했다.
