고령군 대가야박물관은 지난 27일 오후 2시 ‘대가야 열두 개의 별-名品12-’를 주제로 기획특별전을 개막했다고 밝혔다.
이번 전시는 고령 대가야축제 ‘다시 태어나는 대가야(RE-BORN)’ 개막에 맞춰 마련됐으며, 박물관 소장 유물 가운데 대가야의 상징성을 담은 대표 명품 12점을 엄선해 선보인다. 특히 가야금의 열두 줄에서 착안한 구성으로, 다른 고대 국가와 구별되는 대가야의 독자성을 부각한 점이 특징이다.
전시에는 ▲원통모양 그릇받침 ▲봉황무늬 고리자루큰칼 ▲연꽃무늬 벽돌 ▲흙방울 등 대가야 시대의 문화와 생활상을 보여주는 주요 유물이 포함됐다. 각 유물은 역사적·예술적 가치를 함께 지니며, 당시의 사회와 문화를 입체적으로 조명한다.
대가야박물관 관계자는 “대가야를 가장 잘 이해할 수 있는 유물들을 선별해 집중도 높은 전시를 구성했다”며 “이번 전시를 통해 유물의 역사적 의미와 대가야사에 대한 이해를 넓히는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

This exhibition was organized to coincide with the opening of the Goryeong Daegaya Festival, ‘Reborn Daegaya (RE-BORN).’ It showcases 12 representative masterpieces carefully selected from the museum’s collection that embody the symbolism of Daegaya. Notably, the exhibition is characterized by a composition inspired by the twelve strings of the gayageum, highlighting the uniqueness of Daegaya that distinguishes it from other ancient states.
The exhibition includes major artifacts that illustrate the culture and lifestyle of the Daegaya era, such as a cylindrical vessel stand, a large sword with a ring-handled phoenix pattern, a brick with a lotus pattern, and a clay bell. Each artifact possesses both historical and artistic value, shedding light on the society and culture of the time in a multi-dimensional way.
An official from the Daegaya Museum stated, "We have curated a highly focused exhibition by selecting artifacts that best allow for an understanding of Daegaya," adding, "We hope this exhibition will serve as an opportunity to broaden the understanding of the historical significance of the artifacts and the history of Daegaya."
