브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 산업통상부는 지난 27일 2차 최고가격제 시행 이후 단기간내 가격을 급격히 인상한 주유소를 대상으로 30일 범부처 합동점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.
최근 이란 사태로 국제유가가 상승하면서 국내 유류가격 역시 상승 압력을 받고 있으나, 정부는 최고가격제 시행 및 유류세 인하 등을 통해 국민 부담을 최소화하기 위한 조치를 추진중이다.
그럼에도 불구하고 상당수의 주유소가 2차 최고가격제를 시행하자마자 큰 폭으로 판매가격을 인상함에 따라 시장상황에 대한 정밀 점검에 착수하기로 했다.
김정관 장관이 이날 불시에 방문한 주유소는 서울소재 A 자영주소로서 이달 26일 대비 하루만에 휘발유, 경유를 각각 214원, 216원 인상했다.
이에 합동 점검단은 국제유가 및 정유사의 공급가격 대비 판매가격 인상 수준의 적정성, 주유소의 수급 및 재고상황, 석유제품 품질, 비정상적 유통거래 여부, 유가보조금 부정수급 여부 등을 집중 점검했다.
이번에 확보한 자료를 정밀 분석해 위법행위 발견 시 관련 법령에 따라 제제를 부과할 방침이다. 또한, 이번 합동점검으로 확인된 사항을 바탕으로 가격동향 및 시장 상황에 대한 모니터링을 보다 강화하고, 지속적인 점검을 통해 위법행위 적발시 관련 법령에 따른 행정처분을 할 계획이다.
김 장관은 “최근 국제유가 상승으로 현장의 어려움이 큰 점은 충분히 이해한다”먄서도 “정부는 최고가격제를 통해 가격 상승폭을 억제하고 있음에도 이를 초과하는 급격한 가격인상은 국민부담을 가중시키고 시장 신뢰를 저해할 우려가 있다. 향후 유가 상승을 틈탄 불합리한 가격인상과 시장교란 행위에 대해 범부처 차원에서 엄정 대응할 것이다”고 말했다.
