【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군이 장애인과 비장애인이 함께 어울려 살아가는 ‘포용적 복지도시’ 조성을 위해 다양한 장애인 복지 정책을 추진하고 있다.
군은 △원스톱 통합돌봄 △장애인 평생학습 △맞춤형 일자리 지원을 3대 핵심 축으로 체감도 높은 복지 정책을 펼치고 있다.
대표적으로 ‘생거진천형 통합돌봄’은 보건의료, 요양, 주거, 일상생활 지원을 통합 제공하는 모델로, 보건복지부 평가에서 2019년부터 7년 연속 우수 지방정부로 선정됐다.

평생학습 분야에서도 성과를 내고 있다.
교육부와 국립특수교육원이 주관하는 ‘장애인 평생학습도시’ 사업에 연속 선정된 군은 지역 기관과 협력해 문화·예술, 직업능력 향상 등 맞춤형 교육 프로그램을 운영하고 있다.
아울러 ‘생거진천 평생학습축제’를 통해 성과공유회를 개최하며 장애 인식 개선에도 이바지하고 있다.
일자리와 자립 지원도 확대한다.
군은 장애인복지일자리사업을 통해 사회 참여 기회를 넓히고, 정신건강복지센터, 복지관과 연계한 사회 재활·가족 지원 프로그램을 운영해 장애인과 가족의 부담 완화에 힘쓰고 있다.
