Dongducheon City and SBS Sign MOU for 'Community Development and Cultural Tourism Revitalization' to Create a Turning Point
[Break News Dongducheon = Reporter Kim Wan-young] Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province, is collaborating with SBS to develop the Brand Meat Town, a livestock product facility located on Mt. Soyo, into a tourism hub for the Mt. Soyo area.
On the 31st, Dongducheon City signed a business agreement to revitalize culture and tourism in the presence of Mayor Park Hyung-deok and SBS President Bang Moon-shin. They agreed to jointly promote a project to create a tourism hub for the Mt. Soyo area by utilizing the Brand Meat Town, which has been neglected since 2020.
This agreement was established to revitalize the underutilized Brand Meat Town into a tourism hub for the Mt. Soyo area, aiming to attract more tourists and boost the local economy.
Dongducheon City plans to effectively promote local tourism resources and expand opportunities for citizens to enjoy tourism culture through future broadcast sponsorships and campaigns linked to SBS program productions. SBS plans to actively introduce Dongducheon's historical and cultural assets, major tourist attractions, and festivals through broadcast programs, and will particularly cooperate in promoting tourist sites in the Soyosan Mountain area and the October Festival nationwide.
Dongducheon Mayor Park Hyung-deok stated, “Through cooperation with SBS, we have taken an important first step in revitalizing the Brand Meat Town, which had been underutilized for a long time, and elevating it into a tourism hub facility for the Soyosan Mountain area.” He added, “We will establish a successful business model through close cooperation with SBS and, based on this, create a new turning point for the tourism development of Dongducheon City.”
