고양특례시 성사1동 주민자치회가 지난 26일 지역의 어려운 이웃을 돕기 위한 감자심기 행사를 열었다.

이날 행사는 이른 오전 8시부터 시작돼 봄 햇살이 퍼지기 전부터 마을 곳곳이 활기를 띠었으며성사1동 주민자치회를 중심으로 통장협의회, 새마을부녀회 등 여러 직능단체 회원 50여 명이 참여해 구슬땀을 흘렸다.
‘희망텃밭 감자심기’는 매년 봄 감자를 심고 여름철에 수확해 관내 취약계층과 복지 대상자에게 전달하는 주민 주도형 나눔 사업이며 올해도 참가자들은 한 마음으로 밭을 갈고 씨감자를 심으며 이웃사랑의 뜻을 이어갔다.
심은 감자는 앞으로 약 3개월 동안 주민자치회와 직능단체가 함께 관리해 여름 수확 시기까지 정성을 다해 돌볼 예정이다.
행사를 주관한 김진익 주민자치회장은 “이른 시간에도 함께해 주신 모든 분들께 감사드린다”며 “희망텃밭 사업이 성사1동의 따뜻한 전통으로 계속 이어지길 바란다”고 말했고 이어 “올해도 주민과 함께하는 성사1동을 만들어 나가겠다”고 덧붙였다.
