충청권 4개 시·도는 31일 충남도청에서 ‘2026 태안국제원예치유박람회’의 성공적인 개최와 상생협력의 내용을 담은 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 충청권 4개 시·도가 박람회 개최를 적극 지원하면서 충청권광역연합이라는 협력 기반을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다.
협약식에는 최민호 세종시장과 이장우 대전시장, 김태흠 충남지사,이복원 충북경제부지사 등 충청권 4개 시·도 관계자들이 참석해 박람회의 원활한 개최와 충청권 공동 발전에 대한 협력 의지를 다졌다.
협약에 따라 충청권은 ▲관광·문화·예술 협력체계 구축 ▲박람회 홍보 ▲관람객 유치 ▲충청권 기업 교류 및 비즈니스 활성화 ▲국제행사 및 공동 발전사업 상호 협력 등을 공동 추진하기로 했다.
최민호 시장은 “세종시장이자 충청광역연합장으로서 박람회의 성공적인 개최를 위해 적극 협력하겠다”며 “이번 협약을 계기로 교통·산업·관광·문화 등 충청권 공동과제의 상호 발전을 모색하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 2026 태안국제원예치유박람회는 4월 25일부터 5월 24일까지 ‘자연에서 찾는 건강한 미래, 원예치유’를 주제로, 충남 태안 안면도 꽃지해안공원에서 개최된다.
