한울원자력본부(본부장 이세용)는 4월 1일 교육생 25명과 울진군청 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 ‘2026년도 상반기 용접사 양성 교육’ 입교식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 교육 프로그램은 지역 주민에게 건설 현장에 필요한 실무 중심 교육을 제공하고, 양질의 일자리로 연계하기 위해 마련됐다. 교육은 4월 1일부터 6월 30일까지 총 12주간 진행된다.
교육 과정은 현장 실습 위주의 커리큘럼으로 구성돼 용접 기술에 대한 실무 역량을 강화하는 데 중점을 두고 운영될 예정이다.
이세용 본부장은 “현장 중심 교육을 통해 교육생들이 실질적인 경쟁력을 갖춘 인재로 성장하길 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 실효성 있는 교육 프로그램을 지속적으로 추진하겠다”고 말했다.
구자희 울진군 부군수는 “한울본부의 지속적인 교육 지원에 감사드린다”며 “교육생들이 지역사회 발전에 기여하는 전문 인력으로 성장하길 바란다”고 밝혔다.

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP)’s Hanul Nuclear Power Plant has embarked on training technical personnel tailored to the local region.
The Hanul Nuclear Power Plant (Director Lee Se-yong) announced that it held an entrance ceremony for the ‘2026 First Half Welder Training’ on April 1, attended by 25 trainees and officials from the Uljin County Office.
This training program was established to provide local residents with practical, hands-on training necessary for construction sites and to connect them with high-quality jobs. The training will run for a total of 12 weeks, from April 1 to June 30.
The curriculum is structured around field practice and is designed to focus on strengthening practical capabilities in welding technology.
