【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=보은군민들의 건강 증진과 화합을 위한 ‘2026 속리산면 군민건강 걷기대회’가 2일 속리산 잔디공원 일원에서 열렸다.
속리산면체육회(회장 이태겸)가 주관한 이번 행사는 최재형 보은군수와 윤대성 보은군의회의장을 비롯해 군 관계자와 지역 주민 등 약 300여 명이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.
이날 걷기대회는 속리산 잔디공원을 출발해 오리숲길과 세조길을 지나 태평휴게소를 반환점으로 다시 돌아오는 4.4km 코스로 운영됐으며, 참가자들은 속리산 숲길을 걸으며 맑은 공기 속에서 봄의 정취를 만끽했다.
행사에 앞서 개회식과 함께 준비운동 및 바르게 걷기 지도 프로그램이 진행됐으며, 완주 참가자들에게는 기념품이 제공됐다. 또한 행사장에는 체력측정과 건강 상담이 가능한 건강부스가 운영돼 군민들이 자신의 건강 상태를 점검하는 시간도 마련됐다.
이태겸 체육회장은 “천혜의 자연환경을 자랑하는 속리산에서 주민들이 함께 걸으며 일상의 활력을 되찾는 시간이 되었길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 면민들의 건강 증진과 소통을 위한 다양한 체육활동을 지속적으로 추진해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
최재형 보은군수는 “군민들이 자연 속에서 함께 걷고 교류하는 이런 자리가 건강한 지역사회를 만드는 데 큰 힘이 된다”며 “앞으로도 군민 누구나 쉽게 참여할 수 있는 생활체육 프로그램을 확대해 군민 삶의 질을 높여 나가겠다”고 말했다.
