세종의 교실 현장에서 진학지도의 구슬땀을 흘려온 교사 82명이 우리 아이들의 대학 문을 열기 위해 다시 한번 운동화 끈을 조여 맸다. 세종특별자치시교육청진로교육원은 4일 진로교육원 대강당에서 ‘2026년도 세종 대입지원단 발대식’을 열고 본격적인 활동의 서막을 알렸다.
올해 지원단은 세종시 관내 고등학교에서 풍부한 경험을 쌓은 베테랑 교사들로 전열을 가다듬었다. 이들은 '대외협력팀, 연구개발팀, 면접지원팀, 전문분야팀' 등 4개 팀으로 나뉘어 현장의 갈증을 해소할 정교한 진학 지원에 나선다.
먼저 대외협력팀은 교육청과 고교, 대학을 하나로 잇는 가교 역할을 맡는다. 단순히 정보를 전달하는 수준을 넘어 주요 대학 입학사정관들과 수시로 머리를 맞대고 실제 대입 현장에서 통하는 실효성 있는 지원 방안을 짜낼 계획이다.
연구개발팀의 움직임도 분주하다. 진로·진학 통합 안내서인 그 유명한 ‘보인다 시리즈’를 직접 제작해 학생과 학부모의 정보 비대칭을 해소한다. 이들은 콘퍼런스와 세미나에서 토론 전문가로도 활약하며 세종 교육공동체에 가장 빠르고 정확한 진학 나침반을 제공한다.

무엇보다 눈에 띄는 대목은 ‘전문분야팀’의 활동이다. ‘단 한 명의 학생도 소외되지 않는 맞춤형 지원’을 기치로 내걸었다. 예체능 계열은 물론 특수교육 대상자, 학교 밖 청소년, 이주배경 학생 등 각기 다른 상황에 놓인 아이들의 전형을 꼼꼼히 분석해 상담을 제공한다. 특히 기회균형 특별전형 대상자에게는 추가 상담 기회를 보장하며 교육 사다리를 공고히 한다. 예비 고등학생인 중3 학생들을 위한 10월 집중 상담 기간 운영도 빼놓을 수 없는 핵심 사업이다.
문민식 진로교육원장은 학교와 교사의 진학 역량을 강화하는 동시에 모두가 특별해지는 세종형 진학 프로그램을 만들겠다는 포부를 밝혔다. 이어 세종의 모든 아이가 자신의 꿈을 향해 성장할 수 있도록 든든한 조력자가 되겠다고 전했다.
