[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자 부산 지역 대학 총학생회들이 대학생들의 권익을 보호하고 대학 간 연대 활동을 활성화하기 위해 ‘제1기 부산총학생회연합회’를 공식 출범하고 본격적인 행보에 나섰다고 6일 밝혔다.
학생 권익 보호와 대학 간 교류를 위한 연대망 구축
부산총학생회연합회는 지난 3일 국립부경대학교 컨벤션홀에서 발대식을 개최하며 지역 대학생들의 사회적 위상을 높이고 캠퍼스 간 통합 네트워크를 구축하기 위한 첫발을 내디뎠다. 이번 행사에는 박형준 부산광역시장을 비롯해 국립부경대, 부산대, 동아대 등 지역 주요 대학의 학생 대표들이 참석해 상호 협력과 연대를 다짐했다.
교류 사업 확대 및 실질적 정책 대응
초대 의장으로 선출된 김성언 국립부경대 총학생회장은 운영 방향과 관련해 부산시와 정기적인 소통 채널을 구축하여 주거 및 교통 등 권익 관련 현안에 공동 대응하고 대학 간 연합 사업을 적극적으로 추진해 학생 사회에 실질적인 변화를 이끌어내겠다고 밝혔다. 연합회는 부산 대학생들의 목소리를 하나로 모아 공동 정책 제안을 진행하는 등 청년들의 요구를 관철하는 창구 역할을 수행할 방침이다.
청년 정책 발전과 협력의 새 구심점
박형준 부산시장은 축사를 통해 연합회가 대학 간 협력의 핵심 거점이 되어주길 당부하며 대학생들의 꿈이 지역 내에서 실현될 수 있도록 시정 운영에 청년들의 의견을 적극 반영하겠다고 약속했다.
부산총학생회연합회는 앞으로 정기 회의와 공동 프로젝트, 지역 청년 단체와의 협업을 순차적으로 진행하며 학생 권익 향상과 활발한 문화 교류를 아우르는 지역 사회의 중추적인 네트워크로 자리매김할 예정이다.

The Busan Student Government Federation held its inaugural ceremony on April 3 at the Pukyong National University Convention Hall, marking the first step toward raising the social standing of local students and establishing an integrated campus network. The event was attended by Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon and student leaders from major regional institutions, including Pukyong National University, Pusan National University, and Dong-A University, who pledged their mutual cooperation and solidarity.
Expanding Exchange Programs and Practical Policy Responses
Kim Seong-eon, the president of the Pukyong National University student government and newly elected chairperson, stated that the federation will establish regular communication channels with the Busan Metropolitan Government to jointly address rights-related issues such as housing and transportation. He also emphasized that the federation will drive substantive change in student society by actively promoting joint university projects and serving as a unified voice to advance the demands of youth through collective policy proposals.
A New Hub for Youth Policy Development and Collaboration
In his congratulatory remarks, Mayor Park Heong-joon urged the federation to become a central hub for university cooperation and promised to actively reflect student opinions in city administration to help them realize their dreams within the region. Moving forward, the Busan Student Government Federation plans to conduct regular meetings, joint projects, and collaborations with local youth organizations, positioning itself as a pivotal regional network that champions both student rights and vibrant cultural exchange.
