[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시 농업기술센터는 도시농업에 관심 있는 시민들을 대상으로 올해 도시농부학교 16기 개강식을 갖고 본격적인 교육일정에 돌입했다고 7일 밝혔다.

도시농부학교는 도시민의 농업 이해도를 높이고 친환경적인 도시농업을 장려하기 위해 마련됐으며, 모집 당시부터 많은 시민의 관심을 끌며 높은 경쟁률을 기록했다.

첫 수업에서는 국립경상대학교 명예교수 채윤석 교수가 ‘도시농업의 이해와 가치’를 주제로 강의했으며 교육 과정 전반에 대한 오리엔테이션이 진행됐다. 

이번 교육과정은 오는 5월 6일까지 총 11회에 걸쳐 진행되며, 주요 내용은 도시농업의 이해와 채소 재배법, 작목별 재배 기술과 병해충 방제, 친환경 비료 만들기 실습 등이다. 

특히 올해는 단순한 재배 기술 습득을 넘어 이웃과 수확물을 나누며 공동체 의식을 함양하고 탄소중립 실천을 위한 친환경 농법 교육 강화에 초점을 뒀다.

The Gimhae City Agricultural Technology Center announced on the 7th that it held the opening ceremony for the 16th session of the Urban Farmer School for citizens interested in urban agriculture and has commenced its full-scale educational schedule.

In particular, this year's focus has shifted beyond simply acquiring cultivation skills to fostering a sense of community by sharing harvests with neighbors and strengthening education on eco-friendly farming methods to practice carbon neutrality.
