4월7일. 이재명, 정청래, 장동혁 셋이서 밥을 먹는 사진을 본다. 왜 만났을까? 무슨 말을 했을까? 만나면서 그들은 서로를 이해하게 되었을까, 더 멀어졌을까?
아무리 생각해도 의문은 더 커져만 간다. 특히 야당대표가 왜 그런 모임에 갔는지 알 길이 없다. 지금도 무자비한 의회독재와 사법파괴를 일삼고 있는 사람들의 손을 잡는 이유가 무엇인지 상상조차 할 수 없다.
법무부는 민주당의 요구로 이재명(현 대통령)을 수사한 검사들을 무차별 감사하고 있다. 트집을 잡아 수사하고 이재명에 대한 공소취소를 강행할 것이다. 한번 뽑은 칼을 거두어들일 그들이 아니다. 그리되면 이 나라의 사법정의와 법치주의는 조종을 울리고, 독재시대의 완성을 알리는 팡파레가 울려 퍼질 것이다. 좋다, 그렇게 해보라! 국민이 이기는지 너희들이 이기는지, 민주주의가 지배하는지 독재주의가 지배하는지, 결판의 날이 오고야 말 것이다.
