[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시와 부산상공회의소가 지역 산업 경쟁력 강화와 고용 확대를 위한 지역특화·상생형 일자리사업을 본격 추진한다. 청년 인력 유입과 정착을 돕고, 조선업 원·하청 간 격차를 완화하는 등 구조적 문제 해결에 초점을 맞춘 것이 핵심이다.
부산상공회의소 산하 부산지역인적자원개발위원회는 7일 롯데호텔부산에서 제56차 정기총회를 열고 지역·산업 맞춤형 일자리 지원사업 추진 방향을 논의했다. 총 78억 원 규모로 추진되는 이번 사업은 단순 고용 지원을 넘어 인력 부족, 숙련인력 감소, 산업 현장의 불균형 문제를 종합적으로 개선하는 데 목적이 있다.
우선 지역특화 일자리창출 지원사업은 관광·마이스와 제조업을 중심으로 기업 수요에 맞춘 고용 모델을 구축하는 데 중점을 둔다. 청년 인력 유입과 장기 정착을 유도하고, 기업 맞춤형 컨설팅과 근로환경 개선을 통해 총 823개의 일자리 창출을 목표로 한다.
지역상생형 격차완화 지원사업은 조선산업에서 처음 도입되는 상생 모델이다. 원청기업과 협력업체가 함께 참여해 신규 입사자 정착 지원, 장기근속 인센티브, 안전 및 근로환경 개선, 복지 지원 등을 추진한다. 이를 통해 원·하청 간 격차를 줄이고 지속 가능한 산업 생태계 조성을 도모한다.
부산상공회의소는 참여기업 발굴과 현장 의견 수렴, 사업 운영 지원을 맡아 기업과 산업 현장을 연결하는 역할을 수행한다. 부산시는 사업 총괄을 담당하며, 현장에서 체감할 수 있는 성과 창출에 집중할 계획이다.
부산지역인적자원개발위원회 관계자는 이번 사업이 지역 산업이 오랜 기간 겪어온 인력난과 구조적 문제를 해결하는 계기가 될 것으로 기대하며, 기업 경쟁력 강화와 양질의 일자리 확대에 기여할 수 있도록 지원을 강화하겠다고 밝혔다.

Busan City and the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry have launched a regional specialized and win-win job initiative aimed at strengthening industrial competitiveness and expanding employment. The program focuses on addressing structural challenges such as youth workforce shortages, early turnover, and disparities between primary contractors and subcontractors in the shipbuilding industry.
The Busan Regional Human Resources Development Committee, under the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held its 56th regular general meeting at Lotte Hotel Busan on Tuesday at 11 a.m., where participants discussed the direction of the region- and industry-tailored job support program. With a total budget of KRW 7.8 billion, the initiative goes beyond simple employment support and seeks to comprehensively address workforce shortages, declining skilled labor, and structural imbalances across local industries.
The regional specialized job creation program will focus on tourism, MICE, and manufacturing sectors, establishing employment models tailored to industry needs. It aims to attract and retain young workers, provide customized consulting for companies, improve working conditions, and create a total of 823 jobs.
Meanwhile, the regional win-win gap reduction program introduces the first cooperative model in Busan’s shipbuilding industry. It brings together seven primary contractors and 91 partner companies to support new employee settlement, offer long-term service incentives, and improve safety, working conditions, and welfare benefits. The initiative is designed to reduce disparities between contractors and subcontractors and to build a sustainable industrial ecosystem.
The Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry will serve as a bridge between companies and the industrial field by identifying participating firms, gathering on-site feedback, and supporting program operations. Busan City will oversee the overall project, focusing on delivering tangible results in the field.
An official from the Busan Regional Human Resources Development Committee expressed expectations that the initiative will help resolve long-standing issues such as labor shortages and structural challenges in local industries, adding that efforts will be strengthened to enhance corporate competitiveness and expand quality job opportunities.
