충주시는 오는 5월 1일부터 ‘어르신 등 시내버스 무임교통 지원’서비스를 시행한다고 밝혔다.
지원대상은 충주에 거주하는 △만 65세 이상 노인 △만 6세~12세 어린이 △만 13세~18세 청소년 △국가유공자(본인), 장애인 등 8만여 명이다.
대상자는 시내버스, 통학버스, 콜버스 등을 월 15회(청소년은 40회) 무상으로 이용할 수 있다.
서비스 이용을 원하는 경우 주소지 행정복지센터를 방문해 무임교통카드를 신청․발급받으면 된다.
교통카드 발급을 위해서는 본인을 증명할 수 있는 신분증을 필요하며, 지원대상이 확인되면 현장에서 즉시 발급된다.
신청은 오는 13일부터 가능하다.
단, 신청 첫주에는 출생연도 끝자리 기준 요일제(1,6(월) / 2,7(화) / 3,8(수) / 4,9(목) / 5,0(금))에 맞춰 신청을 받는다.
또한, 모두콜․행복콜 및 보훈콜 등과 중복 지원 받을 수 없다.
시 관계자는 “무임교통 지원으로 시민의 자유로운 이동권 보장과 경제적 부담 절감을 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 대중교통 서비스 제공 내실화에 최선을 다하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
