(브레이크뉴스인천 문광수 기자) 인천도서관이 13일, 관내 공공도서관 60개관과 협력해 영·유아 및 초등학생을 대상으로 ‘2026년 인천광역시 북스타트 사업’을 시작한다고 밝혔다.
인천도서관에 따르면, 북스타트(Book Start)는 ‘책과 함께 인생을 시작하자'라는 취지의 사회적 육아 프로그램이다.
부모와 아이들에게 그림책 2권과 길잡이 책 1권이 들어간 가방으로 구성된 책 꾸러미 선물을 제공해 초기 독서경험을 지원하고 평생 독서습관 형성을 도모하는 데 목적이 있다.
이번 사업은 영·유아부터 초등학교 1~2학년까지를 대상으로 하며, 성장 단계별 맞춤형 책꾸러미를 통해 유아기 독서 활동이 학령기 독서로 자연스럽게 연계될 수 있도록 지원할 예정이다.
올해 북스타트 책꾸러미는 성장 단계에 따라 크게 4단계로 구성되어 있다.
1단계(0개월~18개월)‘쭈우욱 쭉쭉’, ‘찾았다! 우리 아기’, 2단계(19개월~35개월) ‘눈사람은 눈사람’,‘무엇이든 할 수 있는 손 손 손’, 3단계(36개월~취학 전 아동)‘가방을 열면’,‘지렁이의 코딱지’, 4단계(초등 1~2학년) ‘빨간 사과가 먹고 싶다면’과‘자개장 할머니’로 구성되어 있으며, 단계별 책꾸러미는 선착순으로 배부된다.
신청은 영ㆍ유아, 초등학생(1~2학년) 이름으로 수령 할 도서관의 누리집에 가입한 후, 주민등록등본과 보호자 신분증을 지참해 해당 도서관을 방문하면 회원증과 책꾸러미를 수령할 수 있다.
책꾸러미 배부와 함께 다양한 책놀이 프로그램, 부모교육 특강을 운영할 예정이며, 북스타트에 관한 자세한 사항은 각 참여도서관에 문의하면 된다.

또한, 인천시 시립박물관 분관 인천도시역사관이 13일, 수인선 협궤열차를 주제로 한 주말 가족 교육프로그램 ‘만들면서 배우는 인천역사’를 운영한다고 밝혔다.
인천도시역사관에 따르면, 이번 교육프로그램은 1937년 개통돼 1995년까지 50여 년간 인천과 수원을 오가던 수인선 협궤열차에 대해 알아보고, 열차가 그 시절 인천 사람들의 삶에 어떤 영향을 주었는지 이해할 수 있도록 구성됐다.
일제강점기 시기 인천 주변의 질 좋은 소금과 쌀을 수탈해 운송할 목적으로 만들어졌던 수인선 협궤열차의 역사적 배경을 알아보고, 수인선 협궤열차 입체 퍼즐을 조립해 보며 흥미롭게 인천역사를 배워볼 수 있도록 운영될 예정이다.
