[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 하동지역 수산물의 위생적 유통 기반을 구축하고 어업인의 소득 증대를 도모하기 위한 하동군수협 수산물 위판장 준공식이 지난 10일 금남면 노량항에서 열렸다.
위판장은 총사업비 25억 원(국비 12억 원, 도비 1억 2천만 원, 군비 4억 8천만 원, 자부담 7억 원)이 투입돼 연면적 약 691㎡ 규모로 조성됐으며, 위판장과 어업인 휴게실, 중매인 사무실 등 수산물 유통에 필요한 시설을 갖췄다.
이번 위판장 건립을 통해 수산물의 위생적인 처리와 효율적인 유통체계 구축이 가능해짐에 따라 지역 수산업 경쟁력 강화와 어업인 소득 증대에 크게 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
이번 위판장은 하동군수협이 사업주체로 참여해 건립되었으며, 향후 운영 또한 하동군수협에서 맡아 지역 수산물의 집하·경매·유통 기능을 수행할 예정이다.
