【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군이 ‘2026 찾아가는 군민안전교육’을 본격 운영하며 재난 대응 역량 강화에 나섰다.
이번 교육은 지난 6일부터 어린이집과 노인복지관 등 지역 내 안전 취약계층 이용 시설 11개소를 순회하며 진행 중이다.
13일 공립아이사랑어린이집에서 열린 ‘지진 대응 교육’에서는 어린이들이 머리 보호 방법과 안전한 대피 요령 등을 직접 체험하며 예기치 못한 자연재난 상황에서 스스로를 보호하는 방법을 배웠다.
교육은 교통안전, 시설안전, 자연재난, 범죄안전 등 생활 밀접형 6대 안전 분야를 중심으로 구성됐다.
특히 전문 강사가 시설을 직접 방문해 이론 위주의 강의에서 벗어나 실제 상황을 가정한 실습 중심의 교육으로 운영되며 큰 호응을 얻고 있다.
군은 앞서 지역 내 어린이집과 노인복지시설, 다문화센터 등을 대상으로 수요 조사를 진행했으며, 교육 종료 후에는 성과 분석을 통해 프로그램을 지속적으로 보완하고 확대할 방침이다.
군 관계자는 “각종 재난과 안전사고로부터 군민을 보호하는 가장 확실한 방법은 반복적인 교육을 통한 실질적 대처 능력 향상”이라며 “앞으로도 안전취약계층을 포함한 모든 군민이 안심하고 생활할 수 있는 ‘안전도시 증평’을 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
