장찬고래호떡공동체는 13일 행복나눔푸드뱅크마켓에 100만 원 상당의 라면 36박스를 기탁했다.
장찬고래호떡공동체는 2023년부터 호떡을 직접 판매한 수익금을 어려운 이웃을 위해 기부해 오고 있으며, 올해로 네 번째를 맞았다. 이번 기부는 옥천묘목축제의 온기를 지역사회와 나누고자 하는 뜻에서 마련됐다. 기탁된 물품은 충북사회복지공동모금회를 통해 식품 지원이 필요한 취약계층에게 전달될 예정이다.
같은 날 한국여성소비자연합 옥천군지부도 관내 저소득 학생을 위한 이웃사랑 후원금 30만 원을 기탁했다.
이번 후원금은 회원들의 회비로 마련된 것으로, 사회복지공동모금회를 통해 경제적 어려움을 겪고 있는 학생 1명에게 전액 지원되며 학용품 구입과 학습 활동에 사용될 계획이다.
송경숙 대표는 “주민들의 정성이 담긴 작은 나눔이 어려운 이웃에게 힘이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 나눔을 꾸준히 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
한국여성소비자연합 옥천군지부 관계자는 “주변의 어려운 이웃을 함께 돌아보는 것이 중요하다”며 “이번 나눔이 한 아이의 꿈을 키우는 데 도움이 되길 바란다”고 전했다.
군 관계자는 “지역사회 곳곳에서 이어지는 따뜻한 나눔에 깊이 감사드린다”며 “앞으로도 복지 사각지대 해소를 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
