국민의힘 김선광 대전 중구청장 예비후보가 ‘사통팔달, 더 편리하고 안전한 교통도시’를 핵심 비전으로 내걸고 교통 분야의 포괄적인 청사진을 발표했다.
13일 공개된 이번 공약은 광역 도로망 완성, 대중교통 혁신, 생활 밀착 보행 안전이라는 3대 전략을 축으로, 임기 내 가시적인 성과를 내겠다는 ‘실무형 구청장’의 의지가 담겼다.
김 후보는 “현장에서 답을 찾고 즉시 실행하는 속도감 있는 행정으로 중구의 교통 환경을 근본적으로 바꾸겠다”며 11개 세부 과제를 제시했다.
이번 공약의 핵심인 사정교~한밭대교 도로 개설은 예비타당성조사를 통과하고 국비 50%를 확보한 상태다.
김 후보는 이를 임기 내 착공해 유등로의 고질적인 정체를 해소하고, 보문산과 중촌동 대전아트파크로의 접근성을 높여 경제 활성화까지 끌어내겠다는 복안이다.
올해 제5차 대도시권 교통혼잡도로 개선사업계획에 최종 반영된 산성동~대사동 신설도로(2.88km) 역시 임기 내 착공을 목표로 잡았다.
여기에 7,734억 원 규모의 대전천 천변도로 확장(2차선→4차선)과 선화로(오성장~선화네거리) 구간의 단계적 확장을 더해 중구의 동서남북을 잇는 광역 교통망을 완성한다는 계획이다.
