【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북 괴산군은 15일 괴산문화예술회관에서 괴산고등학교 및 관내 중학교 학생들을 대상으로 ‘글로벌 청소년 해외연수 발대식’을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
발대식은 중·고생들이 해외연수에 앞서 도전 의식을 다지고 안전하고 뜻깊은 연수를 기원하기 위해 마련됐다.
행사에는 송인헌 군수, 학생, 교직원, 군 관계자 등 300여 명이 참석해 자리를 빛냈다.
행사는 발대식 공식 선포와 학생 대표의 선서문 낭독으로 시작됐으며 이어 특별 강연 프로그램이 진행됐다.
특히, 인기 웹소설이자 드라마 ‘중증외상센터’의 원작자로 잘 알려진 이낙준 작가가 강연자로 나서 눈길을 끌었다.
이 작가는 ‘어쩌다 보니 직업이 세 개’를 주제로 다양한 진로 경험을 공유하며 도전과 선택의 의미를 전달하는 등 학생들에게 깊은 인상을 남겼다.
이번 해외연수는 코로나19로 2019년 이후 중단됐던 해외연수 프로그램이 지난해 6년 만에 재개된 이후 지속 추진되고 있는 사업이다.
관내 중·고등학생들은 학교별로 다양한 국가를 방문해 해외 문화를 체험하고 글로벌 감각을 키우는 기회를 갖게 된다.
군은 참가 학생 전원에게 체험비를 전액 지원해 교육 형평성을 높이고 참여 기회를 확대하고 있다.
송인헌 군수는 “해외연수는 다양한 문화를 직접 경험하며 시야를 넓히고 진로를 탐색할 수 있는 기회”라며 “청소년들이 더 큰 세상을 향해 도전하는 계기가 되길 기대한다”고 말했다.
