【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 남구가 어르신을 위한 주거와 일자리를 결합한 복합 지원시설 ‘이룸채’를 공식 개소했다.
남구청은 지난 15일 대명복개로3길 57 일대에서 시니어 일자리 인큐베이팅 센터 ‘이룸채’의 개소식을 열었다고 16일 밝혔다.
‘이룸채’는 남구가 부지를 직접 매입해 건립한 시설로, 거주 공간과 공동작업장을 함께 갖춘 입주형 복합시설이다.
이날 개소식에는 시·구의원과 지역 시니어클럽 관계자, 한국노인인력개발원 대구·경북지역본부, 입주 예정자 및 주민 등 50여 명이 참석해 개소를 축하했다.
‘이룸채’는 어르신들이 안심하고 거주하면서 실질적으로 일자리에 참여할 수 있도록 설계된 것이 특징이다. 특히 주거 공간과 별도로 마련된 공동작업장에서는 지역 빵집 브랜드 ‘명덕빵앗간’과 협업해 생산, 포장, 판매 등 현장 중심의 일자리가 제공될 예정이다.
남구청은 이번 사업을 통해 어르신들의 생활 안정과 소득 창출을 동시에 지원한다는 계획이다.
조재구 남구청장은 “‘이룸채’는 주거와 일자리를 함께 지원하는 새로운 도전”이라며, “현장 의견을 경청해 보다 안전하고 지속 가능한 운영 모델로 발전시켜 나가겠다”고 말했다.
