[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 산청군은 박항서 전 베트남 축구대표팀 감독의 고향인 생초면에서 늘비축구테마센터를 운영하고 있다고 16일 밝혔다.

총 17억원의 사업비가 투입된 늘비축구테마센터는 연면적 243.54㎡, 지상 2층 규모로 조성돼 있다.

이 사업은 생초면 체육시설(축구장)과 연계한 관광·휴양 인프라 확충사업으로 추진한 축구테마거리 조성과 함께 이뤄졌다.

테마관 1층에는 축구 역사와 관련한 전시와 영상물은 물론 직접 축구를 경험할 수 있는 체험시설도 있어 관광객들의 호응을 얻고 있다.

또 지난 2월부터는 2층에 관광객이 잠시 쉬어가는 쉼터(커피숍)도 운영 중이다.

특히 생초조각공원에서 열리고 있는 꽃잔디 축제와 함께 다양한 볼거리를 제공하고 있다.

산청군 관계자는 “앞으로도 지역의 자연과 문화자원을 연계한 관광자원을 적극 발굴해 관광객이 머물고 다시 찾는 관광지로 발전시켜 나가겠다”고 말했다.
