【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청은 20일, 제46회 장애인의 날을 맞아 특수학교와 도교육청 어울림방 카페 등을 찾아 특수교육 현장을 직접 살피고 장애학생들을 격려하며 공감·동행 교육을 실천했다.
이번 행사는 장애인식 개선과 포용적 교육문화 확산을 통해 모두가 차별 없이 배움의 기회를 누리는 충북교육을 실현하기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 윤건영 교육감은 공립 지적장애 특수학교인 청주혜원학교를 방문해 중·고·전공과 과정 학생들과 함께 <충북형 몸활동 ‘함께해유’> 체육 수업을 참관하고, 학생들과 함께하는 공감 동행 교육에 참여했다. 이어 학교 관계자들과 간담회를 갖고 특수교육 현장의 의견을 청취하며 소통하는 시간을 가졌다.
오후에는 도교육청 내 장애학생 직업실습장인 어울림방 카페(청주혜원학교 운영)에서 일일 점장으로 참여해 현장실습 중인 학생들을 격려하고, 방문 직원들을 맞이하며 주문 접수와 음료 전달 등 실제 운영 현장 업무에 함께 참여했다.
또한 청사 내·외부 장애인 편의시설을 점검하며 장애를 가진 민원인의 이용에 불편이 없는지 확인하고, 개선이 필요한 사항을 점검해 조치하도록 했다.
아울러 윤건영 교육감은 장애인의 날을 기념해 전 직원을 대상으로 <서로의 다름이 선물이 되고, 존중과 배려가 항상 함께하기를 소망합니다>라는 공감·동행 수어 메시지를 제작·공유하며 실용과 포용의 교육문화 확산에 나섰다.
