[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 밀양시가 주최하고 밀양시문화도시센터가 주관하는 ‘2026 밀양 국가유산 야행’이 오는 24일부터 26일까지 영남루 및 밀양관아, 밀양강 일원에서 펼쳐진다.
매일 오후 6시부터 오후 11시까지 진행되는 이번 행사는 국보 영남루를 중심으로 지역의 유·무형 문화유산 가치를 재조명하는 대표적인 야간 문화유산 활용 사업이다. 특히 2020년부터 국가유산청 공모사업에 7년 연속 선정되며 밀양을 대표하는 야간 관광 콘텐츠로 자리매김했다.
올해 야행은 단순한 전시성 행사를 넘어, 밀양을 ‘머무는 관광지’로 전환하기 위한 야간·체류형 관광 활성화에 중점을 둔다. 야경(夜景)·야설(夜說) 등 8야(夜) 테마를 통해 방문객이 밀양의 밤을 깊이 있게 체험할 수 있는 환경을 조성했다.
행사의 대표 콘텐츠인 ‘영남루 실경 뮤지컬’과 ‘밀양강 꽃불놀이’는 야간 관광의 핵심 볼거리다. 밀양강 위를 수놓는 20여 척의 LED 조명 나룻배와 수상 불꽃 연출이 어우러져 관람객에게 강렬한 시각적 경험을 선사한다.
