세이와정책연구회는 자민당의 가장 큰  파벌.

 세이와회약칭, 호소다파(후쿠다파-아베파-미쓰카파-모리파-정촌파- 호소다파)
당내에서는, 헤이세이 연구회나 홍지회와 대등한 보수의 명문 파벌이다.자민당내에서는 보수 합동시의 일본 민주당(기시 노부스케·하토야마 이치로파)의 흐름을 다룬다. 일본 민주당의 '반·요시다 시게루' 노선을 기원으로 하기 위해 친미를 기원으로 하면서도 자주헌법론·헌법개정론을 주창하고, 재군비에 적극적인 등 비교적 강경파색이 강하며, 냉전기에는 그 반공주의 지향의 반영으로서 한국·대만에 독자적인 인맥을 가진 거대한 조직이며 후원자가 가장 많다.

While the pro-U.S. constitution is the origin of the Democratic Party of Japan's "anti-Yoshida Shigeru" line, it has a relatively hard-line stance, such as advocating the "independent constitutionalism" theory and revision of the Constitution, and active in the military, and it is a huge organization with independent connections to Korea and Taiwan and has the largest number of sponsors during the Cold War period.

清和政策研究会は、自由民主党の派閥。旧称は清和会略称は清和研.通称、細田派（福田派→安倍派→三塚派→森派→町村派→細田派
党内では、平成研究会や宏池会と並ぶ保守の名門派閥である。自民党内では保守合同時の日本民主党（岸信介・鳩山一郎派）の流れを汲む。日本民主党の「反・吉田茂」路線を起源に持つため、親米を基調としながらも自主憲法論・憲法改正論を唱え、再軍備に積極的であるなど比較的タカ派色が強く、冷戦期にはその反共主義志向の反映として、韓国・台湾に独自の人脈を持った。
