브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 더불어민주당이 다주택 문제를 해결하지 않으면 공천 시 불이익을 주겠다는 방침을 거듭 밝혔다.
민주당은 소속 국회의원에게는 올해 연말까지, 광역·기초자치단체장에게는 내년 3월까지 다주택 문제를 해결하라고 17개 시·도당에 당대표 명의의 공문을 발송했다고 4일 밝혔다.
당 윤리감찰단 조사 결과를 보면, 소속 국회의원 174명 중 다주택 보유자는 38명이었으며 지난달 31일까지 다주택을 해소한 의원은 22명이다. 나머지 16명은 '부모 거주', '공동상속' 등의 사유로 처분을 완료하지 않았다.
광역자치단체장 12명 중 다주택자는 2명으로 조사됐다. 윤리감찰단은 기초자치단체장, 광역의회의원, 기초의회의원의 다주택 현황도 전수조사하고 있다.
민주당은 올 연말까지 선출직 공직자와 당직자의 다주택 보유에 대해 점검할 계획이며, 특히 수도권 등 투기과열지구를 집중 관리할 계획이다. 부동산 투기가 의심되는 경우 윤리감찰단 감찰을 통해 상응하는 조치를 취할 방침이다.
최기상 민주당 윤리감찰단장은 "다주택 보유 국회의원과 광역자치단체장에게는 당대표가 서신을 보내 협조를 재차 요청하였으며, 사실상 처분이 곤란해 보이는 일부 대상자에 대해서는 처분 여부와 방법 등에 대해 계속 논의하고 있다"고 설명했다.
이낙연 대표 역시 다주택 보유 국회의원과 광역자치단체장에게 서신을 보내 협조를 재차 요청한 것으로 알려졌다. 이낙연 대표는 "다주택 처분에 대하여 국민들의 눈높이에 맞추고 집권여당으로서 책임있는 모습을 보여달라"며 "투기성 주택 보유가 확인되거나, 다주택 해소라는 당의 권고에 대해 정당한 사유 없이 협조하지 않을 경우 향후 공직선거후보자 추천 시 불이익을 주는 등 단호하게 대처할 예정"이라고 밝힌 바 있다.
