국회는 이날 오후 본회의를 열고 공수처법 개정안을 재석 287석 중 찬성 187명, 반대 99명, 기권 1명으로 가결시켰다.
공수처법 개정안은 전날 정기국회 마지막 안건으로 올라왔으나, 국민의힘이 필리버스터(합법적 의사 진행 방해)를 신청해 전날 자정까지 진행됐다.
하지만 필리버스가 해당 회기까지만 유효하다는 국회법에 따라 10일부터 소집된 임시회에서 자동 표결에 들어가 결국 가결됐다.
