한중도시우호협회(회장 권기식)는 11일 오전 제주시 영평동 소재 제주특별자치도관광협회(회장 부동석)에서 코로나19 팬데믹 이후 제주 관광활성화 및 한중 관광협력 방안 등에 대해 간담회를 가졌다.
이날 간담회에는 한중도시우호협회에서 권기식 회장과 신방식 제주도 지회장(제주 YMCA 이사장), 김경일 제주시 지회장(법무사) 등이 참석했고, 제주도관광협회에서는 부동석 회장과 김남진 본부장 등이 참석했다. 권기식 회장은 "제주도는 관광산업이 지역경제의 중심산업인 만큼 중국 관광객 유치가 중요하다"며 "한중도시우호협회와 제주도관광협회가 한중 공공 관광교류 활성화를 위한 좋은 협력모델을 만들기 바란다"고 말했다.
부동석 회장은 "중국 관광객 제주도 유치를 위해 한중도시우호협회와 협력해 다양한 관광 교류 프로그램을 운영하기를 희망한다"고 말했다. 양측은 제주지역 한중 공공 관광교류 활성화를 위한 업무협약 등 구체적인 협력 방안을 추진하기로 했다.
권기식 회장은 이에 앞서 지난 10일 제주시 이도2동 소재 H 식당에서 김경일 제주시 지회장, 김형근 서귀포시 지회장 등 제주도지회 임원들과 오찬 간담회를 갖고 제주도와 중국의 관광ㆍ경제 교류방안을 협의했다.

The Korea-China Urban Friendship Association (Chairman Kwon Ki-sik) held a meeting at the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Tourism Association (Chairman Budong-seok) in Yeongpyeong-dong, Jeju-si on the morning of the 11th to revitalize Jeju tourism after the Corona 19 pandemic, and to promote Korea-China tourism cooperation.
The meeting was attended by Kwon Ki-sik, president of the Jeju Island Branch (Jeju YMCA), Kim Gyeong-il, Jeju-si branch president (judicial officer), etc. from the Korea-China Urban Friendship Association. Chairman Kwon Ki-sik said, "As the tourism industry in Jeju is the central industry of the local economy, it is important to attract Chinese tourists." .
Chairman Bu Dong-seok said, "I hope to operate various tourism exchange programs in cooperation with the Korea-China Cities Friendship Association to attract Chinese tourists to Jeju Island." The two sides decided to pursue specific cooperation measures, such as a business agreement to promote public tourism exchange between Korea and China in Jeju.
Prior to this, Chairman Kwon Ki-sik held a luncheon meeting with Jeju-do branch executives, including Jeju-si branch president Kim Gyeong-il and Seogwipo-si branch president Kim Gyeong-il and Seogwipo-si branch president, at H restaurant in Ido 2-dong, Jeju-si on the 10th, and discussed plans for tourism and economic exchange between Jeju and China.
