국가혁명당은 20일자 보도자료 통해 “최근 여권에서는 4·7 재보선 참패 이후 표심 공략을 위한 선심성 행보가 가속화 되고 있는데, 허경영 국가혁명당 명예 대표는 기성 정당의 잠룡(潛龍)인 대선주자들의 포퓰리즘이 위험선을 넘어 국가 재정을 심각히 위협하고 있다”고 경고했다.

허경영 국가혁명당 명예대표는 “국가예산을 추가로 부담 시키는 추경을 통해 재난지원금 등이나 복지 등 어떤 명목의 추가 예산지출은 단돈 10만 원이라도 포퓰리즘이다.”라고 경고하고 “허경영은 558조 국가 예산 70%를 절약한 약 400조를 국민들에게 반환 시키는 것이다.”라고 말했다.

오명진 비서실장은 “허경영 명예 대표가 여·야 잠룡(潛龍)들에게 공개토론을 제안한 바 있는데, 격식과 형식에 얽매이지 않고 포퓰리즘 공약과 ‘허경영 현상’의 주축인 국민배당금제에 대한 공개 토론을 거듭 제의한다.”고 밝히고 “이 공개토론은 국민의 알 권리와 국가 재정 건전성을 위해서라도 성사되기 바란다.”고 희망했다.
