한중도시우호협회(회장 권기식)는 1일 오후 주제주 중국총영사관(총영사 왕루신)과 한중 교류 간담회를 열었다. 주제주 중국총영사관에서 열린 이날 간담회에는 한중도시우호협회에서 권기식 회장과 신방식 제주도 지회장, 김경일 제주시 지회장, 김형근 서귀포시 지회장, 문대림 자문위원(제주국제자유도시개발센터 이사장), 원오 자문위원(한국불교 태고종 문화부장) 등이 함께 했으며, 주제주 중국총영사관에서는 왕루신 총영사와 장 바오치 부총영사, 자오덩유 영사 등이 참석했다.
권기식 회장은 "제주도는 한중 교류와 협력이 지역 발전의 핵심 요소"라며 "코로나19 이후 관광과 투자 등에서 더욱 활발한 한중 교류가 이뤄질 수 있도록 주제주 중국총영사관에서 많은 도움을 주기 바란다"고 말했다. 왕루신 총영사는 " 한중은 코로나19 방역협력을 성공적으로 이뤄낸 모범적인 관계"라며 "올해는 한중 문화교류의 해이고 내년은 한중 수교 30주년을 맞이하는 해인 만큼 제주에서 다양한 한중 교류가 이뤄지기 바란다"고 말했다. 왕 총영사는 오는 7월 개최 예정인 한중 포럼에 권 회장을 초청했다.
