울진군(군수 전찬걸)은 수소시대를 대비한 원자력·수소산업의 상생 발전과 지역경제 활성화를 위해 추진 중인 ‘대규모 그린수소 생산단지 조성’사업의 사전 예비타당성조사 기획용역 제2차 자문위원 회의를 14일 한국원자력연구원 인텍 대회의실에서 개최했다고 밝혔다.

군에 따르면 이번 회의에서는 원자력, 수소 및 예타 전문가들을 주축으로 본 예타사업 기회보고서에 들어갈 전략과제에 대한 자문 및 논의가 진행됐다.
‘대규모 그린수소 생산단지 조성’사업은 민선7기 역점사업으로서 지난해 4월에 기본계획 수립 후 경상북도를 비롯한 관련 부처 및 기관을 수차례 방문하여 사업설명 및 의견수렴을 하는 등 사업을 추진해 왔다.
또한 지난 6월 16일에는 7개 기관 (경북도·울진군·포스코·현대ENG·한국원자력연구원·포항공대·RIST)과 원자력 활용 그린수소 생산기술개발 업무협약을 체결하는 등 사업 추진에 역량을 집중하고 있다.
군은 앞으로 ‘대규모 그린수소 생산단지 조성’사업에 대한 예비타당성조사 용역을 통하여 국가연구개발 관련 대규모 그린수소 생산단지 조성 사업신청서를 작성하여 내년도 상반기 안에 정식으로 정부에 신청할 계획이다.
