울진군, 사랑의 땔감 및 톱밥 지원

울진군(군수 전찬걸)은 숲가꾸기 사업에서 발생한 벌채목을 활용해 어려운 주민들이 따뜻한 겨울을 지낼 수 있도록 사랑의 땔감을 지원하고, 톱밥을 생산해 축산농가에 저렴하게 공급하기로 했다.

25일 울진군에 따르면 지난 3월부터 일자리창출 목적으로 95명의 공공산림가꾸기 사업단을 운영해 관내 산림에서 숲가꾸기사업을 시행했다.

이때 발생한 벌채목을 수집하여 10월부터 땔감 및 톱밥을 생산해 274가구에 땔감 8,220단, 219가구에 톱밥 22,465포를 순차적으로 지급하기로 했다.

박재용 산림힐링과장은“숲가꾸기 사업을 통해 발생되는 부산물을 활용하여 어려운 지역주민들이 따뜻하게 겨울을 보낼 수 있고, 축산농가의 운영비 절감에 도움이 되도록 지속적인 지원을 확대할 계획”이라며“앞으로도 지역주민에게 따뜻하게 다가가는 산림행정 구현에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
