경일대 박유진 학생, 경북 건축대전 최우수상

경일대학교(총장 정현태) 건축학부 박유진 학생(4학년)이 ‘2021 경상북도 건축대전’ 에 참가해 최우수상(경북도지사상)을 수상했다.

지난 3일 경북 문경 실내체육관에서 열린 ‘2021 경상북도 건축대전’은 2009년부터 시작되어 지역의 건축문화 가치를 상승시키고 도시발전을 도모하기 위해 추진되는 행사이다.

건축대전은 매년 새로운 주제를 정해 진행되며 올해는 ‘전통과 미래의 만남-뉴트로(Newtro)’를 주제로 진행되었다.

이 가운데 최우수상으로 선정된 박유진 학생의 ‘키우다, 나누다’는 ‘경산시 서상길’에서 사라지고 있는 텃밭을 활용해 흩어져있는 개인 텃밭을 사이트 내로 유입시키고 공동체를 형성하여 거기서 생산되는 먹거리, 텃밭을 조경으로 활용한 볼거리 등을 지역민들이 공유할 수 있는 공간을 기획한 작품이다.

박유진 학생은 작품에 대해 “점차 사라지고 있는 도심 속 작은 텃밭들을 보며 농업을 할 수 있는 공간이 줄어들고 있다는 생각이 들었다”며 “오랜 시간 우리 곁에서 함께 해온 텃밭이 소통의 공간으로 변할 수 있다면 텃밭의 정겨운 모습을 계속 볼 수 있을 것이라 생각했다”며 기획 의도를 전했다.

Regarding the work, student Yujin Park said, “I saw the small vegetable gardens in the city that are gradually disappearing, and I thought that the space for farming is decreasing. I thought I would be able to continue to see '," he said.
