울진군새마을회, 사랑으로 김장김치 버무리다!

울진군새마을회가 지역의 취약계층을 위해, 22일부터 24일까지‘사랑의 합동 김장 담그기’행사를 진행했다.

울진군(군수 전찬걸)에 따르면 울진군새마을회는 매년 김장김치를 담가 저소득층, 독거노인, 소년소녀가장 등 지역내 소외계층에게 전달하고 있다.

북면 흥부시장 광장에서 진행된 이번 행사는 코로나19 방역수칙을 준수한 가운데 김장김치 2,100포기를 담가 관내 어려운 이웃 700여 가구와 복지시설에 일일이 전달했다.

울진군새마을회 신용철 회장은“이번 행사가 코로나19로 더욱 어려움을 겪고 있는 이웃에게 따뜻한 사랑을 전달하는 계기가 되길 바란다”며“이웃과 함께하는 새마을운동을 지속적으로 전개할 것”이라고 말했다.

행사에 참여한 전찬걸 울진군수는“코로나19로 인하여 군민전체가 어렵고 힘든 시기임에도 주위의 어려운 이웃을 위해 봉사 헌신하는 신용철회장님을 비롯한 회원여러분께 진심으로 고맙다”는 말을 전하고“이번 사랑의 김장김치 행사를 통해 많은 사람들이 올 겨울을 훈훈하게 보내고, 지금까지 어려움을 잘 극복해 왔던 것처럼 조금만 더 힘내시기를 바란다”고 말했다.
