IBK캐피탈(대표이사 최현숙)이 희망브리지 전국재해구호협회(회장 송필호)에 재난 위기가정을 위해 써달라며 성금 4천500만원을 지난달 30일 기부했다.
희망브리지는 방한 구호물품을 지원해달라는 IBK캐피탈 뜻에 따라 한파에 취약한 재난 위기가정을 발굴해 극세사 이불, 겨울용 조끼, 온풍기 등을 전달할 계획이다.
IBK캐피탈은 IBK기업은행이 100% 지분을 가진 자회사로, 지난 2017년 포항 지진 당시 피해 복구 성금 2천만원을 희망브리지에 맡기기도 했다.
희망브리지 송필호 회장은 “큰 도움 주신 IBK캐피탈에 감사하다”며 “한파로 고통받던 이웃들이 조금이나마 따뜻하게 겨울을 나실 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
재난 구호모금 전문기관인 희망브리지 전국재해구호협회는 1961년 전국의 신문사와 방송사, 사회단체가 힘을 모아 설립한 순수 민간단체이자 국내 자연재해 피해 구호금을 지원할 수 있는 유일한 법정 구호단체다.
60년 동안 1조5천억 원의 성금과 5천만 점 넘는 구호물품을 지원했다. 특히 지난해 코로나19 극복 성금 1천8억 원을 모금해 3천1백만 점 가까운 물품을 방역 취약계층과 의료진, 치료시설 입소자 등에게 전달했다.
