브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 스타벅스커피 코리아는 고용노동부, 사회적협동조합 일하는학교와 함께, 22일 경기도 성남시에 위치한 ‘카페 그런,날’을 스타벅스 재능기부 카페 12호점으로 새롭게 오픈하는 기념식을 가졌다고 밝혔다.
이날 기념식에는 스타벅스커피 코리아 송호섭 대표이사, 고용노동부 안경덕 장관, 일하는 학교 이인환 이사장, 일경험 프로그램 청년 등이 참석해 재능기부 카페 12호점의 새로운 출발을 축하했다.
스타벅스 재능기부 카페는 청소년, 어르신, 장애인, 다문화가족 여성, 취약계층 여성들이 근무하는 지역사회 기관의 노후된 카페 등을 대상으로 시설 및 인테리어 리모델링하고, 바리스타 교육과 매장 운영 노하우 등을 전수하는 스타벅스의 대표적인 사회공헌 프로그램이다.
성남시에 위치한 사회적협동조합인 ‘일하는 학교’는 진로탐색과 직업적응에 어려움을 겪는 학교 밖 청소년들과 비진학 청년들의 직업 훈련 및 일경험을 지원해 취업과 자립을 돕는 단체로 ‘카페 그런,날’을 운영하고 있다.
스타벅스커피 코리아와 고용노동부는 올해 10월 27일 ‘청년고용 응원 프로젝트’ 확산을 위한 업무 협약을 체결하고 청년고용 지원을 위한 다양한 프로그램을 진행하고 있다. 이를 위해 연 200명의 청년 바리스타 교육과정 신설하고 이번 신규 재능기부 카페 오픈 등의 프로그램을 통해 청년 일자리 창출을 지속 지원해 나갈 예정이다.
스타벅스는 재능기부 카페 12호점 오픈 관련한 모든 제반 비용을 지원하고, 스타벅스 협력사들과 함께 서로의 전문 분야에서 역량을 살리는 재능 기부 활동을 진행했다. 향후 스타벅스 매장의 바리스타들이 ‘카페 그런,날’ 정기적으로 방문해 바리스타 커피 교육을 진행하며 카페 운영 노하우를 공유하는 등 지속적인 재능 기부 활동을 펼쳐 나갈 예정이다.
스타벅스는 이번 ‘카페 그런,날’의 새로운 오픈을 통해 어르신, 다문화가정, 장애인, 소외계층 여성 및 청소년 등으로 구성된 총 12개의 재능기부 카페를 지원하게 됐다. 현재 12곳의 재능기부 카페에서 취약계층 50여명이 바리스타가 근무를 하고 있으며 지금까지 700명이 바리스타 교육을 이수했다.
