울진군(군수 전찬걸)은 보건복지부 주관‘2021년 기초생활보장분야 사업평가’와 ‘2021년 기초연금 사업유공 평가’에서 우수 지자체로 각각 선정되는 영광을 차지했다고 27일 밝혔다.

군은 이번 평가에서 신규 수급자 발굴 및 기초생활보장급여 예산 집행실적, 긴급복지 집행실적, 지방생활보장위원회 개최 실적 등에서 우수한 성과를 거두어 복지사각지대 해소를 위한 적극적인 노력을 인정받아 우수 지자체로 선정됐다.
또한 기초연금 사업유공 평가는 보건복지부에서 기초연금 수급률, 신청률, 부정수급 환수율, 사업실적과 복지부 업무협조 등을 평가해 선정한 것으로, 울진군은 올해 약400억원의 예산으로 65세 이상 노인인구 11,500여명에게 매월 30여억원 정도의 기초연금을 지급하여 어르신들의 노후보장과 복지향상을 위해 적극 행정을 구현하고 있다.
